The APS Story
In 1993, a young and ambitious 20-year-old Anirban embarked on a life-changing journey. He landed in Australia as an international student pursuing a Diploma in Hospitality. It was the early '90s, and the sight of Indian students in a predominantly white Australia was rare.
Anirban’s first day in class was a revelation. The classroom was a melting pot of cultures, with everyone on a first-name basis—no formalities, just a community of learners. For the first time, Anirban didn't feel like an outsider. This was a stark contrast to his previous educational experiences in India. He discovered that learning could be engaging and enjoyable.
Over the next three years, the study abroad experience profoundly shaped Anirban. Interacting with a diverse student body, working part-time at the iconic MCG, competing in New Zealand, and backpacking across Australia—these experiences broadened his horizons in ways he had never imagined.
When Anirban returned to India, he was driven by a singular vision: to share the transformative power of studying abroad with more Indian students. And thus, APS World Education was born.
Starting APS World Education, a unit of APS Consultancy Services, was no easy feat. The early years were filled with challenges, but Anirban's unwavering dedication and expertise soon began to shine. Word spread about his insightful counseling, and soon, hundreds of students sought his guidance for their study abroad dreams.
Today, as APS celebrates 27 years of operation, Anirban remains as committed as ever. He continues to offer personalised 1:1 counselling, ensuring each student receives the expert guidance needed to navigate their academic journey and achieve their goals.

Anirban Sircar, the visionary founder of APS World Education, has dedicated over 27 years to transforming the overseas education representation and promotion landscape in India. After completing his Bachelor of Commerce from India's prestigious St. Xavier's College in Kolkata, he started his study abroad journey at Casey Institute in Melbourne, Australia as a student of hospitality operations, supervision and management. There he experienced firsthand the transformative power of global education. This inspired him to establish APS, guiding hundreds of Indian students to pursue their dreams abroad.
Under Anirban’s leadership, APS has achieved a student visa success rate of over 90% and earned a reputation for credibility and excellence. As a marketing consultant, Anirban specialises in brand management, communications, and business development. His strategic vision and commitment to student success have made APS a trusted partner for students and institutions worldwide. Anirban continues to offer personalised 1:1 counselling, ensuring that each student receives the expert guidance they need to succeed.
Anirban’s extensive experience, both as an international student and a professional, equips him with a unique perspective and deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the global education landscape. In his spare time, Anirban is an avid sports enthusiast and a dedicated Manchester United fan. He has a passion for travel, often exploring off-beat destinations in India and abroad, enriching his cultural knowledge and global perspective.
